E-learning for Industry

Through the 2005-2007 Australian Flexible Learning Framework Strategy (Framework), the Flexible Learning Advisory Group (FLAG) has engaged actively with industry and business clients to strengthen their role in shaping VET provision to better meet their needs. Industry and business partners have been encouraged to adopt e-learning solutions that effectively address business needs.

In the current 2008-2011 Framework Strategy, the emphasis through the Industry Integration business activity is on embedding e-learning through business-provider partnerships. Selected industry sectors develop long-term business plans for the inclusion of e-learning in industry-led workforce development. Funding and support is provided directly to industry sectors where a sound business case and an innovative workforce development plan and training solution are articulated. Industries must partner with registered training organisations (RTOs) and be willing to share expertise gained across their industry sector.
