Flexible Learning Advisory GroupThe Flexible Learning Advisory Group Secretariat (FLAG Secretariat) is responsible, and accountable to the Chair of FLAG, for supporting FLAG in the fulfilment of FLAG’s role as the National Senior Official Committee's (NSOC) national advisory body on e-learning. It has the responsibility for the executive support function for FLAG and its working groups, including meeting planning, implementation of FLAG decisions, management of annual strategic review and planning processes, stakeholder communications, provision of initial research on issues, preparation of accountability reports to the NSOC and management of strategic evaluation activities for the Australian Flexible Learning Framework (Framework). The Secretariat also ensures that VET system interests are promoted through the Australian Information and Communications Technology in Education Committee (AICTEC).

Australian Flexible Learning Framework (Framework)
The Secretariat provides Framework management support services for the 2008 – 2011 Framework, particularly preparation of the Framework strategy and annual Business Plans, coordination of program and business activity work and finance plans development, twice annual reporting, and various internal Framework communication and information management activities. The Secretariat also works closely with and facilitates communication between FLAG and Framework personnel, particularly Program Directors and Program Managers, as well as state/territory based e-learning champions.
