Katy Balmaks

Katy Balmaks is currently the Branch Manager of the VET Technology and Recognition Programs Branch, Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations.

Throughout her career Katy has worked in 4 states and territories across Australia in both the public and private sectors in health and education. Since joining the Australian public service in 1999 she has worked in the social policy arena in both policy and program areas. Her most recent role in the department was implementation of the Trades Training Centres in Schools Program, one of the Rudd Government’s first 100 day election commitments.

Katy holds a Bachelor of Nursing, Graduate Diploma of Health Management and a Masters of Health Administration and Information Systems.
