Priorities
The Flexible Learning Advisory Group’s (FLAG) priorities are articulated in the 2008-2011 Australian Flexible Learning Framework Strategy (Framework) and also the FLAG Terms of Reference. The priorities contribute to the achievement of COAG goals for an Australian workforce with more and higher level skills and a responsive and flexible vocational education and training system.
The priorities directly support the Framework’s strategic vision for a future where: learning is tailored to learners in time, place and content; learners are more in control of their learning; teachers are effective ‘managers of learning’; businesses invest significantly in workforce development, and there is a sustainable national e-learning infrastructure.
To achieve this vision, the Framework has three strategic priorities: increasing demand for e-learning from individual learners and increasing demand from business by investing in partnerships between businesses and registered training organisations (RTOs) that demonstrate how e-learning can help meet business challenges. At the same time, FLAG will continue to maximise and build on the national investment to date in essential e-learning infrastructure.
Specific activities to support FLAG’s vision and strategic priorities are listed under the menu bar at the left.
